Hey guys I was curious if anyone has lowered a 2wd dmax about 3 inches or so and has on stock tires. What MPG are you getting ? Im seriously debating on taking my 285s off and going back to 245s and lowering the truck down to the dodge/ford 2wd diesel height. Im getting 15/16 mpg now with the edge on 1/3. Any ideas ? my neighbor gets 19 regularily and 24 on the highway with his 2wd dodge.

I've got a bit of drop on my truck and am seeing around 18mpg with mixed city/hwy with Edge 3/3. I drive a little fast, but not too bad. If I slowed it down a bit and turned down the power I'm sure I could see 20mpg.

what kinda drop is that DJM ? it spindles or something else ? My truck has 130k on it so i dont need a 5in drop in the back, maybe 3 also. Its about even with the front.

Front is a new lower a-arm and rear is a standard shackle and hangar setup. The rear is nice because the shackle has 2 positions and the hangar has 4 positions to choose from. Easy to set it just how you want.

There are quite a few people that sell DJM products. A good place to find a few is "Truckin'" magazine. I don't recall exactly what I paid for it, but I had it all installed with DJM's shocks by Mike at Motivational Engineering. He goes by "Motivational" here on DP.
