I am asking this question based on past experience with a F-250 Superduty. I drained that fuel filter at every oil change, approx 5000miles, and always got flow from the filter. Did not always get alot of water but always got some water and fuel to drain from the filter. With the 2500HD I can't get anything to drain from the filter. No water and no fuel drains from the fuel filter drain. I still buy diesel at the same places that I always did --so what's uphttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif? Have the rest of you guys been getting anything from the filter when draining. Would ask the dealer but their "professional" opinion is that the filter does not even need draining until the WIF light comes on--- some how that answer does not cause me to be filled with confidence in their ability!! Any thoughts or experience is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Harvey

SC-DMAX,
That is a true statement about the 'cinfidence in their ability'. I have only met one guy I would trust my Dmax with....but he is on the Chevy side.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

NoWake200,
Most of the guys at my dealer act as if they have never seen a diesel. I seem to know more about them than they do. Every question i ask requires a call to the "GM Tech Line" so i do all the service on it myself--with a little help from my friends at the "dieselplace". Don't know what i am going to do when/if something major occurshttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif. Hopefully i will find a mechanic that i can trust between now and thenhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif...
