Hey I just bought the aoem-gm24 and hooked it all up. I hooked the blue/white wire to the pink wire and now my amps kick on whenever the dome lights come on. The key doesn't even have to be in the ignition. The amp will shut off when the dome lights turn off. and with all of the power off, I can push any button on the stereo and the amps will kick on for a second and then shut off again. Has anyone ever had this problem? when I hooked the blue wire up to the pink wire, should I have not reattached the pink wire to itself, I mean I did an inline splice to just pull from that wire. Leymans terms.... I cut the pink wire hooked the blue and one end of the pink wire into one end of the butt splice, and hooked the other end of the pink wire into the other side of the splice. Does this make sense... any ideas?

I hooked my blue remote turn on wire to a live ignition wire (Truck must be running) for two reasons, 1 I didnt want the amp running the bateries down when the truck was not running as I have drained the bateries washing and waxing my truck, these sub amps draw alot more power than you think , last thing I want is to be out in the middle of knowhere and have your radio deaden your bateries because your dome lite keeps kicking on 2 I dont like to run my amp on 12 volt alone ,it makes it work harder on the amp and drivers as you are not getting the max power:ro)

you even had a problem with the dual battery setup huh? see i have been thinking of trying to find a live wire like you did, but I need to know where you got yours at. I have an 04 silverado D-max. Did you try that connector from JPcustoms and did you have the same problem?

I used the same pac unit that you used and I tapped into one of the ignition wires under the steering colume, however if you are not comfotable with that use the 20amp aux power fuse and put a fuse tap into it it is controlled by the ignition switch , Although I dont know if it is on at run only as thats the way I wanted mine
MAKE NO MISTAKE ABOUT IT .............THESE SUB AMPS CAN AND WILL DRAIN TWO BATTERIES,IF GIVEN THE CHANCE, ...........DO NOT HOOK YOUR AMP UP TO A QUESTIONABLE SOURCE .......OR YOU WILL LEAVE YOUR SELF STRANDED,....:help2:
