HI to all:
I believe my engine smells more than before. I just have 1700 miles on it. It drives and acts well but it smells more to me. This my first diesel and I know they may smell more but I blieve it is more than before.
Just side note, my truck make that chirping noise when it is cold that other memebers talk about it too. I don't know if this could hav anything to do with more fuel smell. Any ideas? Am I over sensitive?

I had a similar experience with mine with about 3500 miles on it. Are you noticing any smoke, especially white smoke? My dealer replaced 2 injectors and no problem since. Watch for smoke and see if the smell is different than a normal diesel smell, not just stronger. Could be you just got into some bad fuel.

I slap a little #2 behind each ear every morning before I head to work or class. Maybe that's why I can't seem to get any dates?

I have not nticed any smoke but I can even smell it when I stop at red light (ofcourse window down!). I have not noticed any change in performance although I believe my MPG has gone down few tents.

I thought mine kinda stunk too. When the cat ran away, it took the stink with it.

I'd bet the cat is your stink problem. Time to gut the kitty or change the litter.

I had the same SMELL, two bad injectors. Saw white smoke every now and then, look for it.

I've had my 01 duramax for about 25000 miles now and I find it stinks especially bad after i change the oil. Some diesel engine oils will cause the engine to stink extra good but problems will stop after a thousand miles of driving after an oil change. Just something to think about. Hope it helps.

If you burn Veggie Fuel , you will smell like a french fry machine going down the road.
