Ordering update for Silverado's new Duramax Diesel engine! The new Duramax diesel, RPO code "LBZ", will go into production towards the end of September. This new RPO code "LBZ" will replace the current "LLY" engine for diesel orders with automatic transmissions only. This new engine be available to order in VOMS (9/8) , On-line Order guide and AutoBook (9/12). This new powertrain combination will boast the Best-in-Class horsepower at 360, and Best-in-Class torque at an unprecedented 650 ft/lbs!!! The Ford PowerStroke and Dodge Cummins just don't stack up!
All orders in process with LLY and Allison will be automatically changed to LBZ for units scheduled in production late September. All new orders with LLY and an automatic transmission targeted for production after "LBZ" start of production will reject and a message will advise dealer to change the order to "LBZ". Don't forget dealers can still order LLY with the manual transmission. Pricing for the "LBZ" will be announced at a later date.

the 6.4 liter twin turbo(ford) will have the dmax covered quite nicely, thank you. for that matter, the 6.7 liter qsb(dodge) will have both of them covered quite nicely.

the 6.4L PSD is just a bored out 6.0L...............'nuff said. -:t
however, the 6.7L Cummins will pwn I'm sure......it's the rest of the truck that needs refining (like their crap automatic transmissions).
i'm giving your measly attempt of a troll post a 3 out of 10. :Nonono:

Can I go to my local dealer and order one of those now? Who knows where the Dmax will be in the few years it will take for those to come out. Hate to pay for 2 turbo failures...

I will be ordering a LBZ on Sept 12! The LBZ will be a great engine with the 6-speed Allison!

not to mention that its not like you'll be getting that second turbo free. In other words, if you want two turbos so bad why wouldn't you just add a second turbo to the Dmax? Then you'd not only have a more powerful engine than the PSD, but you'd also have way better options for trannies.
Anyway, it felt good to respond again to the troll.........almost like eating 2 or 3 twinkies after three weeks on the South Beach diet......

You'd think he/she would hide it better than to have the name "power_stroke".

A twin turbo Flowerjoke huh? They better offer a good warranty on that one if it ever makes it into the real world. But for now I'll stick with real engines that already have a scheduled realease date.
