Not that im worried about it, just wondering how much it would fall off going from H2's to 6" lift and 37's? What are you seeing on average?

Well im sure that the guys with 6" kits and 35-37's are seeing better fuel mileage than I am running a 12" kit and 40" tires on stock 3.73 gearing but I get...

14 MPG highway (typically 70-80 mph)
11 MPG town (pretty heavy foot)
9 MPG towing (10,000+ pounds)

I'm averaging about 16 mpg, mix between freeway cruising at 75mph and slightly agressive driving in town. If I baby it I can get it up to 18mpg but what's the fun in that. I'm running 35's and a Predator at 65hp tune, no cat, Banks monster exhaust, K&N cold air kit. Hope this helps,

Running 6inch lift with 35's also and I too get around 16 mpg. I also run cat less w/ Banks exhaust and Volant air intake system. Also use HyperTech on level 3 all the time.

Unless you correct the speedo after the lift your gas mileage is incorrect. How are these figures derived because my new 05 gets 14mpg highway and the 35's don't get mounted till this Thurs. I can't wait to see my improved mileage!?

not sure that your truck will get better mileage with the lift and tires:eek: On a freeway trip last weekend with speeds between 65-70 my truck got 16.9mpg on the way down to Elk Grove and 15.9mpg on the way home. Speeds on the way home varied between 65-76 mph. I seem to be running the small tires of the bunch. My speedo is corrected by my predator programmer and the juice was set at 1/3. Although in many different experiments it does not seem to matter what power or low boost fueling is set at, they all seem to get about the same mileage. I have yet to try any power settings of the predator to see if they result in a mileage increase.

I get anywhere from 14.5 to 16.5 mpg depending upon driving habits, traffic, speeds, etc. Doesn't seem to matter if it is highway or around town the previously stated factors seem to affect things most for me. When I pull my trailers 2000-3500lbs up and down some steep grades over a couple hundred miles I get 11-12 mpg.

I think the lift and larger tires kills your mileage. I say it will cost you around 2-3 mpg depending upon what you do.

your right about correcting spedo. i checked mine with the mile markers on the freeway. i am traveling 1 mile when my odometer says only 8.5-8.7 tenths of mile. this is not perfect but really close i feel. however my spedo with the juice is right on according to highway patrol. set it for 37'' tires.

Yup. My 35's are about 15% off. So when I calculate, I need to take the trucks stated mileage, add 15% and the take the gallons used by way of fill up numbers and divide into that number. With PPE HOT xcellerator, BFG KO 35 on a dually, about 13.5 to 15 mpg. OUCH! Of course I am running at 35 PSI.

With the cost of fuel, I am thinking to go back to 40 PSI and put up with the rough So. Cal concrete slab again. Chiropractors are cheaper than fuel.......

H2's with 35's, 4:10 gears, Hypertech on 50hp setting......getting consistant 17mpg mixed freeway and city driving. At $3.25 per gal I would love to get more, But I like the lifted with big tire look!!
