Hello all,

I drive an 02 Lb7 no mods to speak of. I have about 95,000 miles on it. I have noticed that when I'm doing around 60mph and punch it to pass someone I see smoke from the exhaust. Just wondering do any of you see this and or is it a problem? Thanks

Sounds normal to me.

what is happening is that when you are just cruising your turbo is not making any boost. When you nail it you are dumping lots of fuel into the motor, and until the turbo spools and catches up it will smoke. That is why most of the guys here on the site can smoke out an intersection because of all the extra fueling you get with a large hp chip.

What color is it? Black = fuel (very nice) Blue = oil (no good) White = injectors going bad (typical)

That just tells the guy behind you your goin' and to wait his turn. I figure that smoke is my diesel fix and I don't have to go start a tractor today. Seriously, I've got about the same miles, mine does the same.:thumb:
