Went to the Alabama International drag strip Friday night and ran a 14.03! Non boosted 2wd launch! As soon as I get some idler arm/pitman braces I'm going to do a boosted launch! Mods are as below:) what times could I pos expect to see when I can do a boosted launch?

"Trap speed" is the MPH at the end of the run (average for the last 66 feet of the track).

A 99 mph trap speed is typically good for a low to mid 13. If you had a bad 60' time from spinning tires but still came out hard you would typically not run a much faster speed by the end of the track. But coming out so soft like you did you should have much more to gain with a hard launch. On a 4WD with street tires a 1.7 60' time is good, 1.6 is great. So if you cut a good 60' time it would drop at least .5 off your time and get you down to a 13.5. In your case launching harder and coming out on boost should also help you pick up a few mph, which would give you enough to get into the 12s.

You can for sure I been 12.65 @ 105, similar setup to yours. I know mine is LB7 but the results seem to be about the same LB7/LLY.

Anything slower than 12s on a Duramax with a built trans and lift pump is slow.):h It means you are either not launching hard enough, have too big of tires, or need better tuning.

Check out this thread for the top 25 "stock" Duramax's:

Well I sure hope I get into the 12s then! As soon as I get braces I'll hit the strip again and see what I get!

Man that would be pretty good. Your have to post what you run once you get your front end done. I haven't run my truck yet but I am very curious to what she will do. I know my tires will slow me down some.

I have rare parts tie rods just not pitman braces yet! How do you like the down pipe? Any exhaust tone difference?and I'll def post my times! But it will be next year:/ I need new tires and I want rims so I won't be able to get braces for a while!
