OK guys, when the truck was new, I took a bunch of pictures of the underside for reference.

This bracket puzzled me. What is it and what is it's purpose? The view is looking up toward the front of the truck, with the fuel tank shield to your left and the muffler to the right.

Tim,

I know, way too anal. But I did Christen the baby Friday night when we had that snow. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Ermm.gif

I took it to work Friday and when I got home, I left it in the street while I snowblowed the driveway. Well I'm still getting use to how far to pull past the driveway before backing the truck in. Next to the concrete part of the driveway is the kid's portable basketball system. Yea you can see where this is going...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Disapprove.gif

I was backing in and when I looked into the right side mirror, I saw the poll rubbing along the side of the truck! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif

Fortunately, it just left a rub mark on the paint and a very slight dimple. Didn't break the paint surface. I called the dealer to ask him if I could just send him some digital pictures, let me know the scheduled appointment time, and how big the check is to be when I pick it up. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cry.gif

My wife just rolled her eyes. Especially since I always get on her about taking care of her Grand Cherokee.

DOH!

Now for the other part of your question. Man, driving this truck is almost as good as Sex. I usually only have this much driving enjoyment driving the Vette.

I want it to quit snowing so I can hook up the trailer and get some towing miles on the rearend before I do the Gearlube change. I want to get all of the lubes changed

Maybe an auxiliary fuel filter bracket for that new GM approved Racor?

That is what I was thinking. I could put a fuel filter there.

Thanks guys,

It's a gasser emission control thingy mount (yes, I know what it's really called, not nearly as funny though), which means it's fair game for what ever I want to use it for.

I was thinking of putting a filter there but I think I reserve it for something else.Edited by: DavesDmax
