I am installing my in bed fuel tank, and I am now looking for a way to connect it to the main tank. I know that some have spilced it into the fill hose for the main tank.
I was wondering if anyone knows if the 3rd port on the sending unit of the main tank can be used?

Dave, it's my understanding that the third port is not drilled on our tanks. It's used for the evaporative control canister on the gassers, but solid on the inside on the diesels.

i drilled a 3/8 hole in the neck of the filler tube, then did a bit of tig welding, to secure a nipple, then tied a 3/8 hose to it comming from the aux tank, i now have over 100k on this setup, and would not change it 1 bit

fredW: Sounds like exactly the way I want to hook up. How big or what pump are you useing. If it works then I suppose oem tank is venting ok as you fill.
