Just went to a long straight road and decided to doa little quarter mile blast... I dont have a programmer so i still slam into the speed limiter at ~96 mph.

According to the Edge's timer I ran a 14.8 at 95 mph...
(6.4 seconds 0-60)

this was in Level 5/5, boosted 4 wheel drive launch, stock tranny, afe intake, MBRP cool duals. (the KD lift pumps and nicktane that are in my sig are still in the mail)

Does that sound about right? I slammed into the speed limter a SPLIT second before I hit 1320 feet.

Whats everyone else running with just the Edge and a stock tranny?
I think McRat ran a 13.XX but that was with a VA box...

probably on par due to weight, hitting the limiter might killed a tenth or 2

Me at over 7000 lbs, with the hot juice and built tranny am running 13.9, and this is with the edge backing down 34% just to give you a comparison, this is at a dragstrip, and not using the 1/4 mile feature on the edge.

How accurate is the edge 1/4 mile thingy? Boosted 4wd launch with edge in 3x5 T/H I run a 14.3 @ 99 mph. 6.2 0-60. I need to get something to remove my speed limiter though for sure.

Wow you must have a fast truck....a 14.3 quarter mile with the Edge only on 3? And you have a stock tranny and the chip isnt stacked with anything? How did you remove the speed limiter? Im not questioning you or anything and I dont mean any offence, those just seem like kinda high numbers to me for the Edge only being on level 3...

The speed limiter starts to kick in at ~95...I have tryed everything from flooring it to milking in the throttle, it will not go any faster than 95-96...

Is your Edge set up for the proper tire size? that could be throwing it off... If its all set up correctly and the truck is really running a 14.3 quarter mile, I'd be careful because a ~7000 pound crew cab tranny will NOT last long ripping off the quarter mile that fast.

Im not sure whats up, my stock speedo goes to the 95-96 as mentioned, but my Edge always says 99 and OCASIONALLY hits 100 on a downhill. My tire size is as it was stock.... 2524.4 I beleive? for 245s stock tires. I launch it hard, 4wd boosted t/h OD off until its ready to shift into 5th, it definately chirps all 4. I can repeatedly get 14.4, but I attained a 14.3 once. So I guess really its a 14.3 @ 96 or so on the cluster, with a 99 on the attitude.

Wow I want your truck!!! I cant even get mine to chirp into all 4 when I have the Edge on 5/5 AND stacked with the 90hp tune on my PPE HOT Xcellerator...Mine will chirp into second, but thats it.
Although I have never tried it in T/H...maybe thats the trick...

What RPM/PSI have you found works best for launching in 4wd?? ~2100 rpm or more will most likely bend stock tie-rods IIRC...

my quarter mile time according to the edge on 5 was 3 tenths faster in tow haul mode. also i ran 2tenths faster on a 2wd launch @5psi than i did in 4hi with 5psi.
