Don't you have to have a drivers license to run a full size vehicle down the track?

Yes you have to have at least your permit. I dont have mine. The reason i get to run is becuase my dad is a lane sponsor and they let my dad do what ever he wants pretty much.

That's pretty cool, and an impressive pass for a stocker. I hope you washed it up for him after, not many guys will put $70k on the line like that!!

Ran against one bracket racing two months ago and it was running 12. 2x's in the 1000ft cause that as long as the track is here. What is your 1000ft times? They run good in stock form, I was on my tow tune-70HP and only had it by a truck and a half.

What a cool dad to let you go down the track in his truck. Not to many 14 year olds get to experience that.

Sounds like this kid's family is pretty involved with drag racing and therefore, probably had professional guidance in doing what he did.

Good work kid. Are you planning on getting a D-max when you get your license?

x2. If he was being/been taught to drive properly, then no harm.

Ive been lined up next to adult "racers" that had no clue what they were doing. Worst was the guy with the S10 who did a ~300ft wheelie, then moved into my lane to turn off in front of me. Moron. He got an earful from me afterward.

I had much rather someone drag race at the track at any age as to "race on the street" and all the news media call it a drag race!!! Many years ago a friend of mine got a ticket with me for "Drag Racing" on city streets. Short version of story, we did really race and we went to court and taught the judge what a "Drag Race" really was, we got off the ticket and he got to teach the same class to the city cops. He was driving a 67 Chevelle 4 speed big block, and I had a 64 Rambler American stationwagon with the powerful flat head 6 and a auto!!

Thats awesome that you get to do this kinda stuff. Nice vehicles to learn and drive. Keep the rubber side down.

Just keep the racing on the track and keep learning. When you do get your license and start driving on the roads don't think you know everything and drive like your on the track. Some People are bad drivers or driving drunk and what not so it's a whole new world. Just the other week i was going down the road and some guy came into my lane head on at about 50 and i almost didnt get around him. He was in a little car and i was in my Dmax chances are he would have died and i'm sure i would have been pretty messed up and i would have went right over the top of him. So don't let this get to your head other then that keep up the good work.
