you could step up to higher flow injectors...some would say to wait for the turbo to do that. if u dont theyll still add some power but not as much if u backed them with more air from a larger turbo. i was in ur spot i decided to focus on things like suspension and temp control....went with a w/m inject. kit and helper bags to just make the truck a better tow.

do you use it for play or work mostly?

ARP Head studs.

no point in studs if he keeps the stock turbo. even some compound set ups are safe on stock studs because the way they safely add the boost.

you could do a direct down pipe and some performance up pipes. the exhaust manifold doesnt improve flow all that much

Odd, wonder why Mark Broviak limited my boost to 33 psi, stating anything higher and the head gaskets become unreliable without studs.

he's just being on the safe side. from what ive learned from people(im no tech.) is that at above 33-35psi your just overspooling the turbo and inviting premature turbo failure. ive also heard tales of 50psi on stock studs. in my best advice id say if ur already in it a new turbo go ahead and do the studs cuz the installs easier when the head gasket isnt blown.

personally ive hit 40psi on a stock turbo on my guage that is tapped juust after the turbo on the hot side ic tube(maybe loose some psi by the time it goes through IC and into intake/heads) ...heads are on solid but i wouldnt recommend it to anyone

my personal upgrade list is to do the turbo and studs and injectors at the same time if i ever do

Moved to other performance discussion.
I'd ask myself how much further can I go without a lift pump if I were you. By what your saying you'll eventually need one anyhow

ya u should get a fuel pump. the ones with filters built in are good around 800 i think. up in ohio im sure water in the fuel is a bigger problem than down here in phoenix.

It looks like you have about all the add-ons that you can get for a low $$$$...What will your budget allow and that might help you get some ideas in your range...

down pipe, egr delete, ppe race valve, ppe ported fuel rail fitting. all these would help and is not to expensive.

My truck was where you are. Mods get alot more expensive after that. I did turbo, up-pipes, manifolds, head studs all at the same time. I wasn't happen cause I was seeing higher egt's then I wanted to. Still can see the 1600 mark with the bigger turbo. Time for something else I guess. The house I bought slows me down now....

well if you dont want to do the expensive upgrades maybe look into other areas of the truck to improve on for traction n stuff on the track like tractions bars or front suspension parts
