I'm looking to buy a jack that will be used for routine maintanace. $150 / $200 price range. Any suggestions?

hhead 07-31-2011, 10:29 PM I still use my over 10 year old 3 ton Sears, that I got in the combo pak for $110. I did purchase big 3 ton stands though, for use with my trucks. I figure it's only picking up one end at a time, and it has worked fine for my maintenance needs. For more lift, I use 2x4's stacked on the jack. blurry 08-05-2011, 08:01 PM There are some nice jacks out there, I looked briefly and they were in the 350-400 range which was a bit steep for me also. From reading it sounds like the 2500 needs a 3-4 ton jack. I just picked up a 4 ton at HF with a 20% off coupon, puts it around $100. I'm sure the quality isn't there, but it lifts the truck right up:) dirtcheap 08-26-2011, 06:47 PM after many years my jack finally crapped out so i replaced it with a jack/stand/creeper kit from sears for $99 .. BUT much to my horror it says made in CHINA.. i have havent needed new tools, jack etc in forever so i had no idea sears was outsourcing.. the jack is good(3 or 3.5 ton dont remember)...
