I recently upgraded to 235's inplace of the 215's and as many of you know my programmer will not change the tire size for the speedo. or remove the speed limiter, what I was wondering is if I could do this with a scanner?, I have access to one and it suppose to be really good.

I would just say get a Predator, change tire size, speedlimiter & diagnostic stuff.

I don't think you will be able to change it with a scanner. You may be able to have the dealer change tire size for you but not the speed limiter. If its an 01 I think your out of luck unless you go with TTS.

What is it about the 01s that make this so hard to do?

They said this scanner cost about $4000 and is suppose to be able to do just about anything computer related on most vehicles, I know it will do other things such as adjust fuel rail pressure, turn airbags off and he said I could even turn the auto headlights off and the driving lights that stay on all the time off if I wanted.

If you want to turn off your DRL or turn off your auto head lights just push your dome light button twice. THe truck will chime letting you know that it has been turned off. To reactivate either turn off truck or do it again. Also I think if you get a juice with the attitude it is capable of redialing for tire size. Not 100% on that though.

Edge doesn't correct speedo, it justs tells actual speed on the attitude

Yea, I was just using that as an example of differnt things he told me it could do on my truck, the auto lights dont bother me, I actually kinda like them, their good for people like me that cant remember nothin, in my old truck I almost got a ticket over forgetting to turnmy light on
