My 99 van has what looks like a factory hitch on it but no wiring at the bumper.

Is there a spot somewhere that's 'plug + play' to install a 7 prong plug?

Or am I going to have to splice + soldier everything?

Trucks been down 2 weeks, and sitting at the dealer 1 week and no parts have been ordered yet. Looks like I need to use my cargo trailer in a couple weeks so I better put the wiring on the van

well did you check to see if your van has the tow package? no wires inside the rear doors, or underneath? or under the dash?

look here:
http://www.etrailer.com/t1-1999_Chevrolet_Express+Van.htm use the first option if you dont have any wiring. but if you are going to wire for electric brakes, then you need to run the brake control and positive wires from front to rear.

I'll check there. Thanks. Autozone only listed plug and play stuff for 2003+

No factory tow package. Checked 2 places in town and neither could get the plug and play stuff. Ended up splicing into wires to get my trailer rolling.
99 with a 5.7 and 2000 lb trailer. It did the job but it sure isn't a dmax
