I have an 05 with the edge k&n open air system and 4 inch exhaust and when i am pulling my egt will hit 1300 if i do not watch the gauge any help.

I have a stock 05 that has been to 1475.

all trucks can hit this temp easily just going through the gears.. the problem is leaving it at that level for sustained periods of time and getting damage done. the failsafe temp is higher, that is just the warning temp.
