I finally pulled the K&N filter and intake off of my truck. I was hoping that after cleaning the MAF sensor my SES problem and limp mode problem would correct itself. When I hooked up the Tech II I had a hole bunch of Fuel related codes. I said "@#$%" to myself and wrote down the numbers and then cleared the codes. I drove the truck and when it limped again I checked the code and wrote down the faults. I did this a couple of times. The first code was a P0094 Fuel pressure code. I checked the code history and the truck was reading 18.661 KPSI but expecting 22.605 KPSI. OK. I thought the new filter might be leaking. No such look. I looked under the truck, now that it is light, and there is fuel all over so I will have to find the problem.
The second code was the P0236 fault which I thought would clear when I got rid of the dirty filter (OEM). It didn't and it was there w/ the K&N, and now it is there w/ a new FRAM filter. Here is the interesting part or it is at least to me. Check out these numbers:
At Idle (625 RPM)
TECH II Boost is 14 psi
Juice Boost is 0.0 PSI
At 1500 RPM
TECH II Boost is 15 psi
Juice Boost is 2.6 PSI
At 1800 RPM
TECH II Boost is 15 psi
Juice Boost is 3.0 PSI
At WOT
TECH II Boost is 17 psi
Juice Boost is 6.2 PSI
ALL test were w/ no load.
I don't know what to make of this info does anyone have a direction?
BTW: The juice seems to read more appropriate values under load but still never reaches 20 PSI
