Hi again folks-

here is a quick run down of my problems to date and repairs.

Engine stalls while driving. Got it home.
Will start occassionally, then not at all.
Pulled a code 35 and cleared it.
Replaced batteries.
Would not start. No fuel out of air bleeder or water/fuel separator.
One day, started and ran like a raped ape, then next day, nothing.
Replaced lift pump. No fuel out of air bleeder or water/fuel separator afterwards (or before). Would not start.

Replaced OPS. Starts and idles great! Finally have fuel coming out of air bleeder valve and water/fuel sep.

Rev engine past ~1500, lift off pedal, stalls.

I have a PMD coming in today, but if doesn't work, you might see a news clip tonight about some guy shooting his Suburban with an RPG. Thoughts?

Put a fuel gauge inline or time how long it takes to fill a gallon from the water drain. The fuel system may be restricted and pressure may fall below 0 with heavy demand.
Also check the air bleed for air. If it has air in it over and over you might have a leak in the in tank pickup.

Glad to see a 95 Burb w/ over 300k on it. That's what I'm gunning for.

Before you take an RPG to it, why don't you just give it to me. I'm sure I can find you a better target for your frustrations in trade. ;)

Thanks, but I may trade it in to a dealer for something less problematic.

I've bled the air out several times, so I think that is OK. I'm actually contemplating dropping the tank soon and checking the goings on in it. My tank is of course full right now- a mere 42 gallons. I was hoping to get it running well enough to run the fuel out to make the tank dropping a great deal easier.

I'm wondering if the PMD is so bad right now that after 2 minutes of heat build up it dies. Seems unlikely, because it fires right back up- doesn't have to wait at all.

I went through pretty much all of the same things you have with my 95 suburban. And yes the PMD fixed my stalling(mine would stall after revving and fire back up), so I hope it does yours to.

I had a lot of the same problems. I put in a remotely mounted (Heath) PMD kit. No more problems. Good luck.
