It was 65* outside and had sat all night, It ran for a fraction of a second and quit. did this everytime for about 10 to 15 tries. Then it started and ran fine. I have 5900 miles on it, Banks exaust and an Edge chip. could the chip be the problem? robbdmax 08-31-2005, 09:06 AM I have never had that problem, but mine is stock. It sounds like it could be a fuel issue though. Maybe a plugged filter, but 5900 miles is pretty early to see that. dmax lover 08-31-2005, 12:20 PM It could be a slight air leak in the fuel system (at the fuel filter is the most likely source). If it does it again , pump the primer on the fuel pump until it is "hard" in the morning - then start. If it fires right up and keeps running after doing this then take it into the dealer and have them look for an air leak - who knows, you might get a free fuel filter out of the deal. If this doesn't fix the issue, then run it to the dealer and have them change the fuel filter and check the pressure on the fuel rails. If you have a bad injector, the pressure can fail to build on the fuel rails and be hard to start. jeff Kampzite 08-31-2005, 06:59 PM Nope...Starts right up and when the oil pressure gets to 60 psi, I put her in gear and drive away. BigStu128 08-31-2005, 07:52 PM Might want to have the glow plug system checked too. When my controller went back the truck started hard when it was about that temp. In fact it did the same thing a once on cold start. My controller went bad last week, still waiting for the new one to come in. Hopefully before this weekend, I am supposed to go goose hunting and am leary about getting stuck in the middle of the north country with a truck that won't start..
