Make sure your tuner is up to the latest version of software. If you still have errors after updating, you will have to call us Monday. Thanks!

I tried updating it a couple times still getting the same error message with 2 codes. It says my tuner software is version sw-1.00.8 TV with no numbers after trying to update it several times. Is there anything I can do as of now I have no operating vehicle.

I'm still waiting on a call or email back from Jim (at HS) about my exhaust hiss sound, and flashing "service exhaust filter system" (when its been completely removed). And, I would still like to know why im still seeing a "low DEF message" when I removed the tank and all supporting equipment?

I was talking with Jim about this just a few minutes ago. It seems that the truck was mid-regen when the products were installed. This has caused an issue in the programming that we have never seen. Have you tried returning the vehicle to stock programming, drive for a few miles, then retuning it? I would suggest to try that to see what the results yield. You should get a bunch of DPF / Urea codes and it will be reduced power, but you can drive it for a few miles. Let us know the results.

Thanks

Well here was the result.....

The truck is now in limp mode. Should I drive it, or just let it idle to try and clear the regen?

That sounds better.... I would run it for maybe a mile or two, then re-install the tuning. Hopefully this will get you out of the operating mode you were stuck in where it was trying to finish its cleaning process. Thanks!

Well I let it idle for about 45 min. then I took it for a 5 mile run. As of now, I just put it back to HOT and we are right back to square 1.... No, change...
Still high idle (even though its off on the DIC) and the hiss is back....

No fun... I am going to clone your LML calibration onto our test truck here at H&S, hopefully creating your exact situation here for us to diagnose. I'll let you know my findings. It may be Monday before we can fit it in though. Thanks for your patience.

With tuning, it is either black or white. If the tune loads onto the truck, and the truck accepts it, it is the exact same tune I run on my truck and on every other H&S tuned LML across the world. There are too many checks and balances as the tune is loaded for there to be a problem without some error codes / messages on the H&S device. It is something to do with the operating mode the truck was in when the DPF was removed. We have seen similar issues on other makes in the past.

We hope to be to the bottom of it shortly. I hate problems like this, but it sure feels great to figure them out. Then if another guy calls 6 months down the road with the same issue, we have an immediate answer for him.

Thanks for your suggestions.

The exact details of my situation are:
I Believe the truck was "stuck" in regen for about 1500 miles before I installed the mini Maxx and ran the HOT tune.
The exhaust is hissing (loud).
Still having "low def" message on the DIC prior to starting @ about ever 10 starts. (even though its removed from the truck)
Truck is still going into "high idle" (its turned off on the DIC)

Thanks again for your help guys!

I have seen weirder things happen. I have loaded a ton of EFI tunes in various different Dmaxs and have seen odd things happen on different trucks running the same tune.

Not arguing or saying your wrong just saying
