Is it possible? Mine seems SHOT (couldnt possibly guess why...ive only done like 10 boosted 4wd launches:rolleyes: ):h ). It flares every shift and takes about a second and a half to slop thru each gear. During which time, the RPM zings up to about 3100, and then slowly drops as the next gear comes on-line. However, Ive NEVER limped it!! Is this possible? I thought people limp their tranny's at least 3 or 4 times before they smoke the clutch packs.

Sounds like you might better start hustling that donated trans a bit faster then you thought...

Yup, was planning for that, I have enough money set aside from the summer jobs for a Suncoast IV or V (I was advised by Diesel Dragon to go with the IV because my tranny is so new (8000 miles) and if I went with a Suncoast V, then I could be getting a rebuilt 100k tranny. Sound right? Problem is finding a dealer near me that can do the install. Im wayyy the he!! up in Canton, NY at college right now. Ill probably have to baby my truck until Christmas break, which is almost 2 monhts long...ill most likely get it built then. Only guy thats close to me right now I think is "Duramax Diesel"...he owns "Fine Tuning Trasmissions" and is located in Quebec I think. If I smoke my tranny before then, ill have to take a trip up to see him... Otherwise, anyone know of a good dealer in the CT/New England area? Ill probably just end up calling Joe at Suncoast to see who he recommends in my area.

BTW Im only running the Edge Juice/Attitude...albiet on Level 5/5 when I did the 4wd boosted launches. 99% of the time I drive around in Level 2/4 and 3/4

thats gonna be a tough one to get. security will be virtually no help. if you go to maintence ask to speak to Voz Fernandez...he will be very helpful...tell him Jake told you to speak to him, if he asks Jake who tell him the hunter that played hockey for him. or pm me to get my last name. if you have any other questions about the place feel free to shoot me a pm whenever. i know a lot about the faculty and the area too. good luck, have fun...hows the freshman class ladies look...good as usual Im sure.

Ben, Ben, Ben,

If you went to school in Cali or Hawaii like I told you, you wouldn't be having any troubles trying to find a spot to stick your cord into, for the truck I mean.

I never limped mine before I fried it, the boosted launches will do it every time.

Don't worry by the time Christmas break rolls around you'll be looking for a place to thaw out, like Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. :)

The way things have been going in Fort Walton Beach are not good. They have had 3 big storms in the last year. Joe Webb has threatened to move to CA. If he does this, I will move to Ft Walton Beach and show him us CA guys are not pu$$ys.):h After this post I expect a phone call from Mr. Webb, maybe even Mrs. Webb. Lord I hope they don't visit me. ):h Joe, hope everything is ok, you too Joan.:) Regards

on the level you were launching it in 4X4, what horsepower setting is that?

i've got my pred on 65 and the flares between shifts SHOULD go away with time, right?

On the LLY Edge version, Level 5 is an extra 125 hp and 275 ft. lbs. of torque IIRC.

So yeah, I was asking way too much of my tranny.):h

DURAtotheMAX, I left you 12 empty Busch Light cans at Merchant Automotive...You can get $1.20 in deposit reufunds at any Michigan grocery store. Every little bit for the trans. fund helps...
