Hello all, as the title suggests... Anyone know of a good place online or otherwise to get the OEM replacement Air filter (AC Delco) besides at the stealer? Thanks in advance...

Go to the web site in my sig.

Eric has top shelf stuff and is one of the most well respected techs on this site.

Well, from what I've dug up so far, my local dealer can give me the AC Delco filter for $26.90. It looks like if you add shipping for the site vendors, it's going to be over that by couple of bucks... I guess I could get five of them at a time online to ease the shipping cost...:(

Anyone find one for less?

Thanks for the replies guys...

Autozone, also has the Mobil 1 M-303, probably a bit better than ACDelco.

Find a Baldwin dealer and get the B1441

Go to a NAPA dealer and get a Wix.

All three are good filters.

I'll have to check out the Mobil1 at Autozone. Thanks for the suggestion Jim.

not sure, I know lots of aftermarket air filters out there, but most of them dont have the glue lines in them that add strength to prevent the filter from being deformed by the large amount of air going through it with a turbo charged engine.

Stick with whats known in my book and you wont be sorry.

BALDWIN makes a good air filter also, it just doesn't last as long as the AC brand.

I generally get several items at a time to have on stock...oil, air, trans filters....the shipping becomes less of a factor when spread over several items. Besides and this is just my own personal feeling, money is money and all, but Eric, Mike and the others have helpd me plenty with questions and info so I just like to return the favor when I can.....Bill

Bill, you make a valid point and I totally agree. I buy all of my truck parts from supporting vendors and you are right. As you increase the number of items, the shipping charge is spread out and more than compensates for taxes. I got my gauges, oil and fuel filters, pretty much every add-on to my dmax from supporting vendors. I was just having a harder time finding similar deals on AC Delco Air filters... thus starting this thread. God knows, I have saved a whole LOT more than a few bucks with the information compiled on the DIY forum... The members and vendors take the time to share their knowledge and experience in our trucks. The least I can do is send them my business... Anyway, Eric will be getting an order from me. I'll just have to see what else I need:D to buy from his web site...

Thanks for the input...

Jim
