I really like these wheels but am concerned that they are too wide at 18x10. I would like to run 285 series tires. Are these rims too wide for the tire and are they going to stick out with 4.5 backspacing?

Good question. Are you lifted? I am looking at a 18x9 MKW wheel with a 4.5 BS and 285 tire. Most say that you need a lift with a 4.5 BS because they stick out too far. Anyone else?

Take a look at this thread. They do stick out a bit as you can see in the pic from the front. David

I only plan on leveling (greenkeys or Cognito). I saw the other post and those really do stick out but part of it has to do with the fact that he's running an RCD lift. Correct? I believe that lift pushes out the front track a bit. Not sure how much.
Anyone running 18x10 wheels without a lift? Too bad they don't make the 064 wheel a little narrower. Its one of the best looking I have seen for the price.

its probably do able, but will be a real pain to get the beads to pop.
285s are kinda narrow for a 10" rim, something like a 305 would fit better
Check out the 114s, 18x9.5

Yeah thanks I saw the 114's in the other post: http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/showthread.php?t=39379
Comparing the specs on the wheels and if I did the math correctly the 064's will stick out by 1.75" more. (0.25" for the increased rim width and 1.5" for the offset difference)
Is that correct?
The pics of the 114's are about as far as I'm looking for them to stick out.
I agree the 285 will leave the rim hanging out there for a curb to destroy as well.
The 114's are an option, I'm also looking at the MKW MK27's. Decisions......decisions.....

I'm looking at the MK 27's as well, have not seen any ou there yet, they would be unique. Post pics if you get them.
