I have a '10 GM 3/4 ton cc sb. I've done a dpf delete(4" single exhaust) with Edge cs programmer and s&b intake. I'd like to know the next steps I should take in enhancing the performance of my motor. Manifold ? Up/Down pipes? Egr delete?

I've also heard there's a way to make spool noise louder by removing the junk on the top of the motor and adding a plug? Is this just a bunch of BS?

I would do an EGR block or delete, lift pump, and do the transmission when funds permit. Yeah you can remove the plastic 6.6 Duramax cover and replace it with a Fernco plug. You find them at the hardware store. It's a rubber boot with a built in stainless steel band clamp around it. Just fit it over the existing opening where the factory plastic piece was and tighten it up. The only thing I noticed with it being done, is more noise in the interior of the truck. Someone on this site was selling some cool aftermarket plugs that had an Iron Cross on it. Just do a search and you can find it

Thanks Bartman. I need to apologize, I did dry the "search" function before posting this thread. I didn't see anything that answered my ?'s. After I posted the thread, I found a few similar threads on pages 7 and on.

I've heard theses trannys aren't the best, but are they really THAT bad? Should I replace it before a bigger turbo or intercooler?

Is there a certain egr delete kit I should consider over others?

I have single exhaust now and love the sound of it so much, that I want to switch to dual so I can hear it better on my side of the truck! Is it true HP is jeopardized going dual over single?

Moved to other performance discussion.
The Allison isn't that "bad", it was never built to handle high HP levels. Where you go from here depends on what your goals are for the truck, where you want your power at. I'd probably start with the EGR, and maybe the up pipes/down pipe

Thanks for all this info. I've actually ordered a FASS system, a lift pump a egr plate, a race tranny and a dual booster kit for it.

You ordered two lift pumps or did you just write that down twice? What tranny did you go with? And what is a dual booster kit?

Fill out your sig.
