Kind of shopping around for a chip. Whats the best out there? Looking for something thats flexible for towing and regular driving. Also, what exhaust is good. Banks has a good rep, but are there some competitors?

Is exhaust brake worth the $$$$

Welcome Kwalk,

Where is Walkeden? There are some competitors for sure! Do a search on power/modules/programmers on this site. For starters, you need to realize there are 2 different types . The first type is a module or box that mounts in you factory wiring harness. The second type is a programmer that is temporarely connected to your truck. You then reprogram your factory computer. Each stlye has its pros and cons. There is a third type of control unit that specifically targets your fuel pressure. These units are highly contreversial. I personally would leave them to the racers/pullers.

As far as the exaust brake is concerned. They are going to be worth the money if you tow heavy loads frequently. They are just a little to expensive for alot of us. Rather do the pay as you go thing on the brakes. You can always lock out overdrive and use towhaul for going down steep grades.

Be sure to do some searches on this site. It is always good to do a little homework before you jump in to the arena.Edited by: Bronco

There are plenty of dealers in Canada that sell Edge products. I think you have a Tiger Direct in Regina? If not, almost any place that sells automotive accessories buys from Grandwest in saskatoon. They sell Bd power's EZamp which is just a relabeled Juice. I highly recommend this product!
