Hello All,

I have a 2004 Chev Silverado D/A (LB7) with 50,000KMS on it, it also has the Edge controller on it. TOday when i was stopped at a red light I took off fairly fast, and my truck started making a whining noise throught the whole RPM range. This lasted until I stoped at a parking lot down the street and turned it off. Upon restarting the truck the whine is gone while driving, however the Service 4Wd light came on..


Has anyone had an experiance like this?

Anyone have any ideas on what would cause this?

you are supposed to service the 4wd every 50k miles not sure what that is in Km. Mine had the sevice 4wd light on twice, once was the switch on the dash going out, and the other was low on fluid. GO ahead and sevice it and see if that fixes the problem. It shouldn't take you over about 30min to do the job.
