I just got a used Snap On KR655 box and can't get the drawers unlocked. The lock is loose like the nut backed off a bit. The key turns about 7/8s of the needed distance and then just stops. When I looked at the box prior to purchace it was unlocked. The owner locked it after cleaning it up a bit. I suspect it became jammed when we laid it on its back and during transport. Any ideas on how I can get it open?

Only thing I can suggest is contact a local snap on dealer and ask if he can open it for you. I know they show their dealers how to open them up for " just in case"

You probably already tried this, but just in case...
When I moved shops, the lock on my Macsimizer chest was stuck similar to yours after transport. I had to have a couple of friends push in the smaller drawer sets as I jiggled the large drawer while turning the tumbler with the key. Once it opened, everything worked fine after that...I think one of the drawers got jostled in transport and was hanging up the detent.

Turns out the transfer bar that lifts the locking bars had slipped by the shaft that moves it during the transport. Had to flip the box upside down so the bars would fall "up" and unlock the drawers. Then removed the drawers and fixed the problem.
