I felt NO turbo lag on the Chevy, the dodge had a little, not bad, but the chevy got going quicker.

the (+/ - ) shifter is cool. You put the transmission in (M), it goes D M 1 2 I believe. Put it in M and 6 5 4 3 2 1 shows up in the dash with brackets around what gear your in [ 4] for example. You can shift into any gear at any speed. I shifted in to [ 5 ] and came to a stop and it stayed there, and then I started drivnign in [ 5 ] as well, not sure if I was really in 5, but it took off and then i shifted thru all the grears, very cool.

Dislikes:
Price, all said and done, the chevy was as solid 5-6K dollars more than the dodge.

also, the interior is the same as my 99', getting dated I think.

didnt have an 05' to campare too, but that thing hauled ass from the time I hit the gas till I let off the peddle.

may not be the LBZ, but that thing really moved out. Once up and going the Dodge felt like it had more power, but from the bottom to mid, the Chevy felt stronger.

Don't forget that you're getting a 6-speed on the Chevy, not a 5-speed like on the Dodge. Also, the interiors are way nicer on the GMs IMO (way roomier on the Crew cabs). What trim was the Chevy you were you looking at?

the dodge only has a 4speed! the trim level I was looking at was a LT2.

list was 44,600.00. GSM price was 37,999 and 1000$ rebate made it 36,999, could probably get another grand off and get it for 34-35K.

the dodge has a price on the sticker or 29,418.00.

regardless, I am driving my 99' silverado for another year, Im going to see what happens at the end of this year/next summer.

I also thought that the Dodge had a 5 speed auto available since '03, but apparently it is only available behind the Hemi. I just looked at Edmunds, and for '05 and '06 it only shows the 4 speed auto behind the Cummins, or the 6 speed stick.
