They`re both nice But... Be aware that extra weight can cause havoc if you`re ever in an accident. I used to run Tow trucks with push bumpers. Lost 2 due to frame damage with the extra weight hanging there. Stopped buying them with the push bumpers.

What's up with "Texans" and after market bumpers and brushgaurds?? Don't get my wrong, I think its sweet. I went to Texas to get a Dodge Durango with all that on it. I just seems like most 4x4's, especially pickups that come from Texas have something big bolted on the front end of them?

Whats up = downside to frontier is that they sit so close to the body and hood= if u do hit something ur still gonna have damage- i'd say tough country all the way- ranchhands just not manufactured like they were years ago- need something with some space between guard and body- look at a Hason bumpers seen them in fourwheeler - very tough-hand made-):h

Hey- and whats this talk about a new truck????? id hate to see u lose a good one-

Frontier Gear, but I am biased. I like mine, and the prices are alot cheaper, you can still use your factory tow hooks and fog lights.

You want to take a look at it sometime, give me a shout....

cool, will go check it out now.

Moving around Sept 14th. Going out there labor day weekend to try and find a house to buy. As soon as I can get a house, the next "toy" project will be started, a '55 Chevy twin-turbo project:ro) I have about 3 weeks of vacation coming, debating whether to take some time off and "hang out" befoer moving or just keep working and get paid for the vacation.

I would take some time off, but the honeymoon is coming up in 6 weeks, so I may just keep working, although some time off now would be nice. Although id like to go buy a new Benelli shotgun for Dove Season and a new Chocolate Lab. You in town now working or still on the road?

Very pleased with my Tough Country.

Whatever you get, have it Line-X'd before you install. Save you a lot of trouble down the road!

I'm looking to get a RanchHand front and rear bumper replacement. I have a totally stock truck with the weight of the bumpers make my truck sag at all? It's a 3500, I wouldn't think that it would? Also I'm not going to put a lift on it.

I would think the rear would be fine. The front will probably sag some but you can crank the torsion bars to level it back out (unless you already have them maxed out, then you might could add some green keys).

My front winch bumper weighs about 500 lbs (Warn 15000 winch plus Ruennel style bumper), is made of 7/16" & 1/2" steel rather than Ruennel 1/4" & 3/8", and doesn't sag using Bilsteins & green keys. My rear bumper is 1/2" thick, 8" channel with many mods, weighs about 275 lbs. My front bumper has extra supports to the frame, has hit deer at 75 mph, and never gives. Also had a Toyota hit me head on (I was stopped, he was sliding in snow at about 40 mph), totalled him badly, and scratched my powder coating. I also winch quite a bit and have never pulled bumper off nor bent it. Rear bumper has been hit numerous times, a few scratches, but totalled at least 3 cars over the years. It is VERY stout and fatal for those who hit it. Frame has slightly buckled on a 93 CC a few years ago, but no bumper damage. Anyone can twist a GM front bumper into a pretzel with their bare hands and a swift kick will total the rear bumper. HD aftermarket bumpers never cost - they pay big dividends.

Cattle are bigger than deer :D

IMHO, I like the Buckstop, but I'd want the hoop as well... the bumper is sweet, but won't protect the grille and hood.

I would go with Tough Country front and rear coated with Line-X. That is what I have on my 2001 and I can't begin to tell you how many people have told me how great my truck looks. That is what I am putting on my 2006 that just came in this week.

Just ordered one of these:
http://www.4wheelparts.com/4wp/images/imagebank/genuinesteel/gsp_chevyEuroguard1_c.jpg

4Wheelparts charges shipping on non-stock items, even for in-store pickup, so it was about $450 with tax and shipping.

As I said, my bumpers are not necessarily pretty, but are well built and work very well when used. Truck is sold, waiting for LBZ, so bumpers are awaiting a new truck again.

I have the Tough Country deluxe front and rear dually bumpers. They look great and are very tough. They probably added about 300 pounds to the weight of the vehicle. Needed a small crane to install.

I love the rear bumper and have never had second thoughts. The front may be a little too much but as my wife says, I won't feel that way if I ever do hit a deer with it. Tough Country has a slightly smaller front bumper that I would look at. The only objective issue on the front bumper is where to mount extra driving lights.

Here are pics:
