: Armor Liner spray in liner
dieselbreath 08-27-2005, 11:25 AM Any of you cats in the Atlanta or east Alabama area need a spray in liner,I highly recommend ARMOR LINER 770-832-7772, these guys are in Carrollton, Ga.
They use the hot spray liner system that is similar to Line-x. It is a glossy black coating and looks fantastic. It doesn't matter what franchise does the work as it all depends on how well you prep the surface. I watched as they sanded every single square inch of the bed & tailgate.
The 2 owners are mechanics by trade and one of them has a 05 C/C Duramax so he knows how particular people are with their trucks.
They have a single price system: $320.00 over the rail, under the rail, long bed, short bed.
GMC-2002-Dmax 08-27-2005, 11:57 AM Looks good...........
Never could see why someone wants a drop in liner.............they seem like a waste to me................spray in is the way to go...........I have had mine LINE-X'd for over three years and it has held up great...........

robbyd97 08-27-2005, 12:00 PM The ONLY complaint I would have with Line-X (and probably all other spray in liners) is that it fades over time. Does anyone have any suggestions for bringing back that newly sprayed shine?
Max Power 08-27-2005, 12:03 PM I don't like how they hold the dust and dirt and always look dull. I know you can pressure wash them but they never seem to look like new.
GMC-2002-Dmax 08-27-2005, 12:23 PM Since my truck is used for work I was more concerned with protecting it that the newness of it..........
It has faded...........and for me it is not a problem...........I am sure that you could put a coating of something on it like Armour-All but it makes it slippery.............possibly a tire black product would work........

Max Power 08-27-2005, 12:29 PM I use my truck for work too but I still like to clean her up and take her out as well :D
dieselbreath 08-27-2005, 03:58 PM The guys that sprayed my liner said that there is a product coming out soon that you wipe on and it brings the color back on a faded liner. Line-x has a flat color to start with so it doesn't look too bad when it is faded.
My liner however, has a real glossy black finish that sparkles in the sun so I wonder what it will look like over time.
aztowbum 08-27-2005, 04:07 PM Here in Phoenix we obviously have the Heat. They fade and I`ve seen some turn Gooey in the Summer. I have a Penda no skid drop in. Love it wouldn`t have a Spray in. Sorry Guys.
michael nelson 08-27-2005, 04:17 PM I have an armour lining and I like, though it has faded from the sun, butwho cares....who looks in the back of you truck any way?
TruckDaddy 08-29-2005, 02:32 PM I'm a LINE-X dealer.
The new product is called LINE-X Xtra (made by Dupont only for LINE-X bedliners). Xtra makes the liner a darker black, glossy, and will not fade, guaranteed. Xtra contains Dupont Kevlar Mico Pulp, which makes the liner stronger, more durable, more chemical resistant, stain resistant, and scratch resistant. Xtra is applied like a topcoat but actually migrates into the liner. Xtra does not affect the unique LINE-X texture (as a regular paint would do by causing "puddling"). Xtra is included in the LINE-X written nationwide lifetime warranty. Xtra works best when applied to a freshly sprayed bedliner, but can be applied to an already existing LINE-X bedliner.
Dealers must take a training course (by Dupont) to become certified to spray Xtra, which I am. I've sprayed about 5 trucks with Xtra in the last 2 weeks.
I tell you what, LINE-X with Xtra is absolutely GREAT looking. I realize I am LINE-X dealer telling you this, but seriously, just go look at a sample. Right now, there's nothing on the market that compares.
OK, it's REALLY hard to take a decent picture of a black liner that sparkles in the sun. Here are a couple of pics of Xtra (in a Tundra). The white specs are sun reflections (sparkles). I'll try to take better pics next time. You really need to see it in person, but here you go:

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v413/123Gone/xtra3.jpgC'mon,are you telling us that this is a Line-x exclusive product that no other company can obtain? BUMMER!!
DSengineer 08-31-2005, 11:52 AM TruckDaddy,
Is there an "extra" cost to the consumer associated with the Xtra??? If so how much? When you go into a Line-X dealer are they promoting this as an optional add-on to the standard Line-X coating, or are all Line-X dealers switching over to the Xtra formula as their standard coating..
TruckDaddy 08-31-2005, 02:52 PM Yes, there is an extra cost. I can't post prices, I'll send a PM. Dealers are in the process of being certified to spray it. I was certified a couple of weeks ago. Xtra is an upgrade to regular LINE-X. I've sprayed about 5 trucks so far with it. It looks GREAT and it stays looking GREAT.
Dupont only makes this product for LINE-X, period.
