I just picked up a 2005 Tahoe LT for my wife. I wanted to let you guys know that some dealers WILL do what most of them will not talk about... give deals below the GMS price.
I got them to knock off an additional $2500 from the GMS price and do a dealer trade for the Tahoe she wanted. I ended up getting a fully loaded LT for $33,500. It has everything but the DVD player. (she didn't want that)
So, if you are still in the market, don't settle on the GMS price. There IS still money to take off. ):h
Good luck out there... make those dealers bleed! :exactly:

I purchased my LS in the second week of june and it was GMS price minus the $3,000 rebate. Did they stop including the rebate over the last couple months of the program??

The additional rebate varies from vehicle to vehicle. On trucks it's $3000.

I got GM pricing and 3000$ rebate when I bought my D-Max too. It is almost 10000$ discount!, couldn't resist.

I got in a week after they originally started the GMS-for-everyone deal. They were having slow sales just after Memorial day, so knocked another $400 off GMS plus rebates plus my GM card points. Can't argue with anything price-wise on the truck.... :D
Now if you wanna' talk about how much the fan ran on my trip the last few days pulling my big ol' 3500 lb. trailer.... :p:
That's a 'nuther thing....

I got mine at dave smith motors in kellog idaho the last day of june. it was employee pricing plus the $3000 or so rebate and the dealership took an additional $1000 off of that. Sticker was around $44,300 and I got it for $33,080. :ro) Nobody around here would touch that deal. Plus they had 4 in the color I wanted and options. I checked 3 local dealer and only one had one the color I wanted and it wasn't the right options.

I got GMS, plus the standard $3000 chevy rebate PLUS the dealer kocked off another $2500.
Sticker was like $48k+
GMS was around $39k (loaded LT)
Minus $3000 rebate gave me a GMS selling price of $36k, that is what all the dealers were doing.
I was able to find a dealer that took an additional $2500 off that... to net me a selling price of $33,500.
When I bought my '05 d/max I got GMS minus the $3000 rebate and that is all. They would not do one penny more on the discount. (said it was a no haggle price with the GMS prices)
I think now with the GMS prices on the 2006's they want to clear out any and all 2005's. (although they are only giving $1000 rebate on '06's not the $3000 like the 2005's)
I called the dealer I got my d/max from and they said the best they could do was $1800 under GMS on one they had in stock. They said the $2500 was under cost. Either way there is money that the dealers can take off to put you below GMS.
GMS plus $3000 rebate plus $2500 off GMS... it was a good day ):h
