Hey Guys,Have been a little slow on upgrades on my Truck as it is my every day driver and also have a Boat that needs a new engine:( .Put the MBRP Cool Duals on at the beginning of the year and Love them.Noticed a little quicker spool up of the Turbo after install.
Been contemplating a chip for awhile now,did'nt want to get crazy on this as this IS my every day transportation and I can't afford to lose the Tranny.Edge came out with the EZ and this is pretty much what I have been looking for.Gave John a call at DPS and got it Friday,took 2 minuites to install[less running switch into the Cab].
Put it on level 3 for a quick test drive as it was getting dark out.All I have to say is "DAMN"!!!!!!Did it ever wake that Bad Boy up.:D :D .Now I know this is a VERY Mild wake up call for the Duramax compared to most of what you Guys have.Now its Saturday and %@#$#^ raining a little ,Now I can't test her out real good:( .
Gotta say since finding this Board,you Guys are doing a Good job of emtying my Wallet!!):h .Already,with a 5 min. test drive[Edge EZ] I'm thinking about a Edge Juice/Attitude!!!!
I want to get a Boost and EGT guage package now with a overhead mount.I had read before about some on here before.Can anybody put me in the right direction for them?Thanks Guys,This is a GREAT Place.[Mike]

Give the tranny a few hundred miles or more to learn a open it up.
Keep in mind the tranny will not like anything above about 90 more horspower.

I've read about the Tranny re-learn,But Just got back from a test run and it seems to shift fine right out of the box.Don't seem to see any/if much difference from before the install.[Mike]

It is my understanding the EZ is a 30/45/65 HP tune.........maybe I am wrong on this..........but it is far less than the tranny can hold.........it should be fine........

You got it.Have read the Allisons are safe up to about 700 ft. lbs. of torque?Is this pretty much the rule of thumb?

My stock tranny survives for over 20K miles with a HOT OJ that consistently put down 380HP and 780-800 TQ.........I even ran a stack for a while...........

Every transmission is different...........everybody drives different..........the Stock TC and C2's and C3's will give up long before you know they have..........

I used to regularly limp the tranny, but put a stock or lesser tune in and all was well...........

I finally installed the Edge juice w/Attitude on the truck and WOW! The truck came to life. I also launch it on lever 4 and 5 and man I have to do what ever it takes so that I can use lever 4 & 5 more often.

anyone have any advice to what I need to do in order to use Lever 4&5 often.
