hello all, hoping someone can help. My '88 Silverado, runs fine when temp. is above (approx) -5 C (ontario) but below that, it "chugs", stalls, and kinda sounds like someone is revving it, rpm jump & go down as if someone is kicking the accelerator. this happens at idle, or on highwway, while coasting??? im new to diesel, and needed a big truck. any ideas? or is this normal? (stalled 3 times last night after 50 mile highway run - when i hit the city) thanks

I saw your other post, are you sure th etruck is not gelling up? might throw some additive in first to be safe.


If you pull the fuel filter off, and dump the fuel out is it thin and runny, or thick closer to syrup?


Hard to believe the thing would run 50 miles gelling though.
