Say you buy a used truck and notice that the rev/speed limiters have been removed. Is there a way to check the ecm to see if any and what tunes are already on the truck.

Seems like it might be a no brainer question so I know one of ya'll will chime in. Thanks in advance!

About the only thing to try is with EFILive to see if it will read out the tune. But if the ECM is locked it will not be readable. Even if you can that will be of no big use unless someone knows exactly how one tune is and the current update of that tune would be. One would be better off having the ECM reflashed to a stock tune and then tune from there. Then you know what you have then.
