I just got my truck back after dealer replaced fuel filter under warrenty and it really smells like diesel, Even after i shut it down and open the hood it just stinks for a long time and it never stunk like this before
any ideas? thanks in advance

Yup, I bet they spilled some and didn't get it all cleaned up. Take a look at the top of the filter housing and see if it is wet. Check around the filter (run your hand around it)and on top of the frame down below. May have been one of those "I can pull this up between the a/c lines.....aw sh!t moments". If the filter has any on it, wipe it dry,
drive it some and check it again. If it's wet again, then it isn't tight or the O-ring isn't sealing and the filter has to come off and the O-ring checked/replaced.

Either that or they spilled it on their hands and didn't clean them before getting in your truck and spreading it around.

AAHHHH , I hate that. I did that once at a big rig diesel pump. My steering wheel stunk for days

OR your fuel filter housing is cracked and leaking like mine was although I did not smell fuel, I just could not start after pulling the fifthwheel.
