Ryan told me there were a few videos taken during the day. It was a local car site's event. Hopefully they can be tracked down, because I'd like to see them as well.(didn't get to make it down there)

The truck rocks the hell out, that's for sure.

If I can't get ahold of the video I did have the gopro on it. It did go a 7.30 on fuel only.

Thats crazy on a stock motor...makes me not so nervous about pushing mine that hard. How is the driveability with that big turbo as a single?

To me the driveability is great u just don't want to put much of a trailer behind it! This is the 3rd year at this power level and it seams to be fine no telling how many passes I have made on it.

What turbine wheel and housing do you have? Have you put a trailer behind it? We tow on S475s quite often, usually another Duramax, a few sets of tires, and a bunch of tools - with an 83mm turbine wheel and .90 or 1.0 housing they do just fine. You can hit small inclines at 1600-1700 RPM and by the time the EGTs come close to 1000* the turbo spools up and cools them right off. On the steeper climbs you need to be 1800-2000 RPM to keep the EGTs in check. I've towed another Duramax with an S480 with an 87mm turbine on mine and you have to keep the RPM up around 1800-1900 to keep EGTs in check on the inclines and 2000+ RPM on the steeper climbs. Those figures are all on the cast compressor wheels, with billet and BatMo wheels they spool up much better.
