My friend has a 2004 honda accord, She tells me when she drives it, it would just cut off on her and she is able to restart and drive a little bit and it will do it again. This just started. I test drove it the other day for 20 mins and it was fine. She drove it the next and it would die on her. I checked the alternator and the battery they seam strong. New battery this past fall, alternator is 14volts all day long.

I have done some reading and its pointing to a bad igniter or distrubuter or the like. I checked with the parts store and they say no igniter or distrubuter on this car since its electronic ignition, they said there are coils on each cylinder. Well not sure about this one now..

Any help would be great.

First thing you should do is check for trouble codes. Autozone and some other parts stores will scan your car for free. The computer will usually tell you what is wrong or at least point you in the right direction. Scan it and post up the code numbers.. maybe someone can help.

How is the fuel pressure/flow?
May be a broken wire too, i have seen numerous makes/models have problems with broken wires from the PCM to the coils, fuel pump or to the crank sensor.

NO CODES found. Had at the local garage for 24 hours they ran it a few times and nothing.

With no codes. All i can think of is the ignition switch. I know honda recalled a bunch of cars for bad ignition switches that had the exact same problem as you describe. Dont know if it affects the 04 accords.
