Guys was wondering how you guys clean your Duramax when it gets dirty under the hood. This might be a dumb question but is it bad to pressure wash it? Thanks for the replies..

On my 02, there is a decal on a shiney box just behind the alternator that says "do not use high pressure water", or a very similar warning. I assume that means no pressure washing.

Maybe I'm lucky but I hav'nt had any major issue. I just wipe off the dust on top regularly and clean up any spills/drips as I change the filters etc. I live in so cal so we don't get much rains and no snow so maybe that makes a difference

When I am done washing my truck, I take the oldest mitt and wipe down everything I can reach under the hood. Rinse with a water hose, after drying, spray everything with STP Son Of A Gun. Engine always looks new.
