I saw it in someone's vehicle description ...

...the option that allows you to have a 2500HD 4x4 without any "4x4" logos on it.

trite question from a (hopefully) soon-to-be 2500HD owner...

inte,

The RPO code is 9R1 Decal delete, Pickup bed (MSRP = No Charge)
Deletes the "4x4" decal from the side of the Pickup bed on 4x4 Pickup trucks.

I bought my truck off the lot and it had the 4X4 sticker - used a heat gun to warm it up and it peeled right off - it appears to be made of vinyl.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Geek.gif Edited by: jbplock

My truck is at least 6 month old. What are the chances I can get these babies off without finding paint fade to be an issue. Truck is that awesome Slate Gray.

Thanks! I assume this removes the logo from the tailgate also, or would that be a separate code?

inte,

That is 9M4 Decal delete, tailgate (MSRP = No Charge)
Deletes the nameplate or decal on the Pickup bed tailgate. It is not availble on LS or LT models, only on Base and Work truck models.

I cooked mine after 15 months no fading. Pewter truck. use heat and peel by hand. They came right off. Used a littel goo-b-gone and it was perfectaly clean. if your not gonna put anything back wax the area with whatever you use on your truck.

My truck was about 6 months old when I pulled them off. I had the heat gun ready, but it was a warm day and they can off without it. Fade isn't as big of factor with todays paints.
