GM if you are watching this, allow the option for cooled seats and heated steering wheel for models other than the denali.

Thanks for the info, changes would not effect a 3500 that I would order. I noticed the build price changed by $100 on this months price change. Too bad GM can't lower the msrps.

They could if they wanted to but the demand is there, if it wasn't you would see a decrease in pricing.Corporate GREED!

Prices aren't coming down... Although I see the same trucks sitting on the local dealer's lot for months on end, SOMEBODY is buying them... I saw an article that the asseembly line was running at full capacity lately.

I did, and it is better than my 06 LBZ in EVERY way. When I drive my wife's LTZ Tahoe now, I feel like I'm driving a low grade Korean import.

Let me guess you wanted a lift and its not a work truck.I was following a 06to07 350 he was pullin a empty 24' tandem single wheel goose neck at 50mph it downshifted twice to pull a small grade my lbz pulls 10kwith ease in OD.If they go to sfa they will lose sales to the working man, they might sell more grocery getters though.I do wish coil spring or torsion bar would be optional.

JMO, but I don't think sales are as good as some think. I'm seeing local dealers hardly have any on the lot, usually only 1-2 overpriced $56K+ HD's, and it can't be because they are selling fast, just seems they are not ordering them in the qty's they did years back, and there are way fewer dealers around today in my NY area.

That story is about half tons... Do the research, the GM plant is cranking out the HD trucks at full capacity... They added a third shift back in Jan or Feb...

I see a lot more new GM trucks on the road that are personal vehicles than I do the new Fords. Most of the Fords I see are fleet trucks that are bought because the purchase price is lower than any one else.

Amen, brother. My buddy constantly dumps money into the front end of his 07' Ram. He recently purchaced/installed some balljoints from Carli Suspension which, first off, were back ordered for 6 weeks (think they're in demand?), and secondly they were some few hundred dollars each! And yes, he needed them. I witnessed the truck get death wobble at 70 mph. And that was with dealer installed replacement balljoints with 20K miles on em' that were already sloppy.

A few hundered dollars, try $450.00 a pair or $800.00 for Uppers and Lowers. Man, I'm sure glad I bought my LML instead of a Ram. Ram has been having Ball Joint problems for years, not to mention steering box grief as well. I'm kind of surprised they haven't done something to fix the problem(s) permanently

I didn't want to throw too high of a number out there. I knew it was around $800 that he spent on em', but I wasn't sure. Either way, multiple sets of ball joints, multiple sets of high quality shocks, multiple track bars, multiple different coil springs, and still it's a steaming pile of crap. I drive my truck for work more than anything, and the last thing I want to do is get the piss beat out of me by my own truck while just trying to earn a $$.

The entire reason I checked into this thread was because it's time to replace my truck and I am just curious if I should try for a 2012, or try to smoke a deal on a remaining 2011. If the 2012s don't bring with them any mind blowing changes/improvements over a 2011 than it's gonna be a matter of price:D. Oh, BTW, my truck is for sale.

There 's a lot of incentives, at least up here, on the 2011's and according to what I've read there are no significant changes for 2012. IMHO, If you can find the truck you like in a 2011 I'd buy it because you won't get that many incentives on a 2012 as they want to move the 2011's. Good luck, you'll love the new trucks, I know I'm really impressed with mine.

I bought into the SFA talk back in 2006. Tried a Dodge, went through 2 sets up front end "wear" items. Ball Joints at 40k (warranted 1/2 so I paid $700 bucks) and again at 90k, $1,700 a set!

Needless to say that went down the road at 89,900 miles. Never again SFA crap is an internet myth, GM's IFS is 100% better in every way, all that off road talk, is exactly that TALK.

Every GM I have had has gone 100k before needing anything in the front end. T bars cranked to the max every time.

I tried hard to talk myself into a Ford, but when it comes down to it… SFA just plain costs more in every way, downtime, reliability, durability and ride quality.

My .02 ???
