I'm going to order a Nicktane filter adapter to run the 2 Micron CAT filter and I see the filter head spacer on the site also. However it does not state when it is required.

If I run the Stock Filter head w/ the adapter & CAT 2 micron filter housing will I need the spacer??

Alittle more digging and I see that the 1 micron filter requires the spacer and the 2 micron does not.

I've had a similar question. I know you need the spacer for the 1 micron, but can you use both the Cat 749 and 750 without the spacer?

The -749 needs a spacer, -750 does not

The spacer moves the filter head out from the engine-- and makes changing the filter easier -- even on a stock filter. I have one on my LLY

the 750 doesn't require the space. it is only needed for the 1 micron.

some people have used the 749 with the spacer but i don't sell the kit with the intention of running the 749 so i don't know if its required for that filter or not.
