I have an 01 duramax that has an idle surge problem. Just took it to the dealer today and they checked the fuel pressure regulator and said nothing was wrong with it. I almost sure that the regulator is the problem but have no way of making the dealership install a new one. Does anybody know if a service bulletin exist for this problem. The dealership said no but with all the problems they have had with the regulators I have a hard time believing that is the case. Any help would be greatly appreciated

What does it do when you drive it. Could be a fuel rail sensor. dave

find a different dealer, mine was so bad it would lurch forward at stop signs after you would get off the highway.
Then it started setting off the SES light, fuel rail pressure....
replaced with the deductable of 100 bucks and they turned around and sent me my deductable all it said was GM covered it?
Find a different dealer...search the sight for FPR or fuel pressure regulator and start reading......:ro)
