Has anyone tested or seen a difference in performance loss or gain on our diesel trucks when changing the tire from the stock 245s to a 265 or 285? I now have thw 285s on my truck but am thinking of putting back on my 245s before I go to the track in Grand Bend ON this upcoming Laboour Day Weekend. Is it worth my time to do this?

Take em both and see which works better.
If your spinning the 245s the 285s may hook better depending on track conditions.
Do u have the rpm to get the mph w/ smaller tires?

I am pretty sure that I will have to test unless someone can let me know if they have tried this out and noticed any gains or losses in power. It sure would save some time.

i usually run with 305/70/16 i have some 265 75 16 and i should have some times with these very soon, as soon as it cools off here like dmax tim said youre gonna need some rpms to get that mph but i would think that if you can hook with the smaller ones that you will have a quicker et.
