So today I changed my oil, fuel filter, and pressure washed the underside of the truck. The truck idled fine for 10min while I power washed it. i shut it off for a couple of hours and then got in it to go to the store. It started right up and drove to the end of the street then died. I cranked it and it would ocasionally fire and run for a few seconds at like 400rpms then die. If I hold the go pedal to the floor it will run roughly at 400rpms for like 20seconds. I opened the bleeder on top of the filter and it fuel ran out with the key on and the pump priming. PMD was replaced 5k mi ago

Any suggestions??? I am leaving for vacation for 2 days tomarrow morning and am taking my truck.

Maybe the o-ring on the fuel filter isn't positioned right, or maybe you got a fuel line leak.

Nope no leaks. I pulled the fuel filter and reinserted it with no problems. Any other ideas??:help2:

Is the fuel in the filter bowl clear??

I just went thru 5 days of hard starting, 1 mile test drive then dies, no restart. come back in a few hours and repeat start - 1 mile - dies -

If you got some water in the fuel tank, consider a fungus attack in fuel

cloudy white or brown, or slimey fuel in filterbowl is an indicator

I had alot of other issues going on, but if you aren't setting codes- look closely at the fuel

the fuel looked fairly clear. I will go back out and take another look at it.

i pulled the fuel filter back out and cleaned the bowl real well with Q-Tips to remove all of the crud inside. Put everything back together and bled the air out. Still nothing. Any other ideas?? Getting desperate.

Oh yeah the truck sat for a couple of hours after the washing so it had plenty of time to dry out. It also fired right up and drove about 1/4 mile before dying.

Is there like a fuel shut-off switch or some type of a fuse to look for?? I figure that ill go back to the basics.

Thanks!!
