First post but have been doing a ton of reading in the forums regarding the edge evolution. I have an 05 lly basically stock with an afe mp and 4" down pipe back exhaust. I am really leaning towards the edge evolution cts or cs as at this point I am just looking for a little extra power and better mpg. One question I do have that no one has really addressed (in my days of digging around the forums).. How well do the dash pods hold up? I drive a lot of back roads (ruts, wash board, large pot holes, ect.) and am a little worried about having the unit bounce off the dash. Will more then likely have to order on-line as no local sources are available, so have not had the opportunity to look at the units or dash pods in person. Is it best to go with the cs as it looks like it fits into the dash pod or is the adaptor strong enough to hold the cts and the attached dash pod to the dash while bouncing over some rough roads? Would like to go with the cts just for the bigger display. Just don't want to drop $900 on getting set up only to find I have to disconnect or keep picking up off the floor. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

They hold very well. Clean the surface really well with the prep pads and the sticky tape works well. But I am not off on really bad roads most of the time.

I have the CTS with the adapter plate & pod. It works great. It fits tight & will not fall out. No way.. I am off road here between hunting season. We were up in Canada ice fishing late season. There were huge craters & ice hevys everywhere & I was bouncing all around the lake & that display never moved. I like the pod, but never had a problem with the suction cup mount, but I almost went right to the pod.

Any cold weather issues with the units? Especially the CTS? Imagine they take a while to warm up to be able to use?
Sounds like I will probably need to go with the race version with an egr block? Looking at the edge site, they don't give you performance output for the tunes. Are the lower level tunes the same as the regular evo?
Tough deciding on cts or just cs without having a chance to look at them in person. Thanks for all you help.

I was ice fishing in Canada it was -30 below, yeap -30 below. It work perfect... The lower tunes are similar.. Do not let the Race name scare you. It so you can do off road things. The lower 3 levels are fine & level 4 too if you use common sense.

Thanks for the help. One last question and I need to stop researching and pull the trigger and start. I am not "planning" on building the tranny, just looking for for a good running tune that will bump up mpg's and keep egt's under control. How do the edge evo race tunes compare to just the regular evo's. Better mpg out of the regular evo or race? What about egt's? Thanks

They are similar..if you block the egr then you will want the race or you will get a cell light. The finger stick will not help on the programmers also.
