Has there been any bad reports about the D-Max heads, in regards to being made out of aluminium?

I personally feel these engines are rock solid. Just look at the abuse the performance junkies are throwing at them. If they were crap a lot more tracks would have been greased by now. I think if you have a major problem before 100K you are just one of the few unlucky.


I know this is the ask a tech section, hopefully a tech. will answer your question with some real data from GM.

After all the controversy when GM/Isuzu introduced the Duramax and it's design with the Aluminum heads they have had an excellent introduction without issues ....
