SOmetime back I saw a thread that talked about and app fot the android phones that you could use the remote start, check fuel level etc. Well now that I have a new Droid I would like to try but can't seem to find the thread. Anyone know about this?

Yep, it's the Onstar App... If your Onstar isn't active it isn't going to work though. It's cool for when you are out of range of the key fob, which in my case only works for about 50 yards (by the way, what's up with that?)... It takes a while to start the truck though, it takes about a minute to boot up then you have to put a 4 digit PIN in every time. I can normally walk within range of the fob faster...

Check the box which lets the APP run 24-7 and you

a) wont have to enter your pin
b) will only wait about 15-20 seconds for it to start
