Well I finally got the time to install my MBRP cat-delete pipe, the EGR block plate and the Finget stick yesterday and I am very happy with the results.

I already had the Predator tuner at 65hp tune and a Banks cat-back exhaust but getting rid of that cat made a huge difference. Install was pretty straight forward, the cat was kind of a pain to get out but once I figured out just the right number of twists ans turns in came out. The Finger stick was easy to wire and just as easy to hide, can't even tell it's there. The hardest part of the install was the EGR block-off plate. That thing is buried back against the fire wall and the nuts must have been tighted by an overgrown gorilla. Anyway got it in and had a small exhaust leak I couldn't get to stop so I covered the plate in a thin layer of High Temp Exhaust gasket sealer, re-installed it, let it dry and not more leaks. I ran the the truck and so far so good. No codes, way quicker spool up and noticable pick-up, and it sounds mean as hell now too. EGT's are down about 100 degrees, which helps(Hurry up with the new program Diablo!!!!:D ).

Overall for the money, the best bang for the buck so far. Thanks to Fingers, Mark at DPP, everyone else for their help. Great products and great support.

Thanks on the compliment. The truck is definately louder. The funny thing is when I switched from the stock muffler to the Banks Monster exhaust, I didn't notice any sound difference, but as soon as the kitty ran away, it was definately louder and you can hear the turbo throw the exhaust pipe now, it sounds like a hair dryer is in there at idle. Overall though it is still quieter than my last truck with the 6.0L gasser and a 4" Magnaflow exhuast. Inside the cab it is not very noticable and definately worth the shorter spool up time and extra power.

Hey WhippledHD,
When I got my MBRP front pipe I loved the sound out of the tail pipe. At idle I just hear a little better rumble at the pipe. When in the truck and getting on the throttle, I can hear the "hair dyer" sound ripping out of the tail pipe. Better performance w/o cat and did notice a different smell from the exhaust. Used to smell like propane and now its like diesel.

Got to love it !!!

WhippledHD;
Did you run truck to see if it would set off the SES light before installing fingerstick?? Just curious.. I'm a little leary about the cat delete scenario in CA. emission trucks. Thnx. Radron

CA truck will set codes and light.

Rich is right CA will set off the SES light with the cat removed and aftermarket exhaust, and definately with the EGR block plate. Non-CA trucks still throw the code but it doesn't set off the SES light. I kept my Cat "Just in Case" I ever needed to put it back on. As easy as the Finger Stick was to install It's definately worth it.

Does it ever end????:D I keep waiting on Diablo to come out with the revised Predator programming. My plan is to wait until after that before doing anymore mods, but at the rate they're working on it.....It might be awhile:mad:
