Guys I have been fighting this #)$*@#)$* factory security system for some time now. This weekend is left me stranded for about 2 hours. I have called the dealer they tell me I have to come in to get it fixed. They told me I can reset it by putting key in on position and letting it sit like that for 20 mins. This has worked twice now, but second time took awhile. I just want the damn thing out of the truck or fixed but I don't know how to do either. It is wired into the ignition system somehow because it shuts off fuel delivery when it is flashing. HELP!!!!! This is getting frustrating.

Check the FAQ link on theft deterrent learn & see if that helps, you need to follow it to the letter, screw up at 1 point and you got to start all over again takes full 30 minutes without interruption to make it work, now if you have acces to a GM T2 tool the learn is a simple command to make it learn.

Do you have a remote start installed in the vehicle?

No remote start. I have done the reset as stated by GM but both times the security light will come back on as I drive down the road, not sure what is causing it. I'm wondering if my door actuators not working correctly is the problem??

Well if this wasn't the most frustrating weekend I don't know what was. I reset the security code or whatever you want to call it twice this weekend following the steps listed from this thread after I was stranded 2 times waiting for it to reset. I need this crap out of my truck before I move to more drastic measures.

Turbine Docs procedure worked for me perfect when i followed it to the letter, never had another problem when i swapped out ECM's.

TD's instructions are working to a "T", but something keeps reactivating the security system, sometimes it days sometimes it's hours.
